Now available in navy blue! The Puget Sound Quilt project is our most densely detailed project yet, depicting one of the most complex estuary systems in the world. The quilt covers everything from the Strait of Juan de Fuca and the San Juan Islands, down to the Budd Inlet in the south. Victoria and part of Vancouver Island is also featured on the quilt (hi, Canadian friends!) as well as the geologically active regions of the Olympic and Cascade Ranges.
The meticulously appliqued fjords are made with gold polysilk stitched onto a soft backing of pale blue cotton; roads and ocean topography are entirely hand-stitched. These throw-sized quilts measure approximately 50" x 72" and can be machine-washed on a gentle cycle.
City names embroidered on the quilt include: Seattle, Tacoma, Bremerton, Whidbey and Bainbridge Islands.
