This handmade textile banner by Emily Fischer reinterprets a 1908 British suffrage banner bearing the phrase "Blessed are the Peace Makers." Inspired by a 1908 suffrage banner currently held in the London School of Economics Collection, the historic design is revived here as a symbol of peace and enduring resistance.
