The Chesapeake Bay is one of the most complex estuary systems in the world, with over 11,684 miles of coastline. The Bay is rendered in meticulously appliqued polysilk, layered on top of cotton; roads and ocean topography are entirely hand-stitched. Map area covers the watershed from Richmond and Norfolk, VA to Baltimore, MD and Wilmington, DE. This quilt is available in two colorways - pale blue cotton with gold polysilk, and navy blue cotton with a lighter blue polysilk.
These throw sized quilts measure to approximately 60" x 72" and can be machine-washed on a gentle cycle. For best quilt care, please machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, then tumble dry low or lay flat to air dry.
City names embroidered on the quilt include: Richmond, Baltimore, Chincoteague, Annapolis, Tangier, Washington, Norfolk, Wilmington, and Dover.
