Black Flower Quilt Coat - Rubinski Works x Haptic Lab

A coat with the soul of a quilt. A floral motif blooms across the back and carries onto the sleeves and coat front, designed by artist Madison Rae Holler of Rubinski Works for Haptic Lab. The geometries of the pattern evoke the Indigenous Ojibwe beadwork of Madison’s art; the black and deep brown field blocks are scattered to create the visual effect of beading. Quilt blocks are top-stitched, and the coat lining is a soft slate blue that shows beautifully when the sleeves are cuffed.
