Girls Say No to the Bombs

Sold out
Design: Linen

Some protests last a weekend. This one lasted nineteen years.

In 1981, a community of women marched to RAF Greenham Common in Berkshire, England in support of nuclear disarmament — and stayed. The Greenham Women's Peace Camp became one of the longest-running acts of civil disobedience in history. Their handmade banners were central to their resistance and are foundational to modern craftivism.

This "Girls Say No to the Bomb" is a direct homage to the legacy of Greenham Common artists like Thalia Campbell.
